We haven't left Lucaya yet. Colin and Sue arrive tomorrow. And then the weather is icky for a few days. So we went to Taino Beaxh, we went to the market, and we just chilled. Sometimes a quiet day to reflect brings more beauty than others. Of course, some days you just need snuggles too.

Some time in Lucaya
We have a wonderful grocery store only a half mile away. We went on a recon mission and left with peppers, zucchini, coffee creamer, fajita seasoning, and more! We also visited the touristy part of Lucaya. Its where cruise ships will take people to shop. Today had a small ship in (Margaritaville). Tomorrow has two… Continue reading Some time in Lucaya
On To Lucaya
An early morning start as many boaters were leaving West End today. We helped several boats go, headed to the beach, Jason got his sunrise photo, then time to cast off our lines. We had a pretty short day with only 27 miles to go from West End to Lucaya (Freeport area on Grand Bahama… Continue reading On To Lucaya
A quiet night
It’s going to be a sun, sun-shiney day
The eight dock lines held, some cooler weather gave a wonderful night's sleep, and the sun greeted us today. A walk back out to check the seas found us with John and Sue and Coco. A long walk on the beach, some conch hunting, and the joy of the day. Jason fixed the solar panels. … Continue reading It’s going to be a sun, sun-shiney day
A few days in West End and the Haven Crew and the blustery day
We've met some wonderful people here in West End. We are so lucky. Walking the beach or Settlers Point, we are so grateful to have made it this far. Engines, batteries, fluffy small four-legged felines, these are all considerations. Mid-afternoon yesterday the weather started to turn. Rain, wind, waves, all three....but we're here! And we… Continue reading A few days in West End and the Haven Crew and the blustery day
Step 2: Cross over…
Ladies, gents, small people, furry beings...we finally did it. The weather window looked worth it, and we went. It wasn't an easy decision. It was a decision wrought with sleeplessness, unhappy tummies, scrambling around for food, necessary boat items (because boat means break out another thousand....but not that bad), and simple stress. We've been further… Continue reading Step 2: Cross over…
West Palm Beach
Well, kids, we made Lake Worth to sit for the weather window. And it's a parking lot in here. There are hundreds of boats. Some will cross tomorrow. Some need to stay for various reasons. We visited Peanut Island for a day trip. A Kennedy Bomb Bunker is there. They are restoring it, and it… Continue reading West Palm Beach
The Wee Ones on Adventure
It was a day at anchor and not having to do much. We were able to sleep in, enjoy the boat rocking at anchor, and we could appreciate how fortunate we are. So Jason fixed things. Barbara typed 105 pages today. But we had Sundowners with new friends Jim and Sue on Blackthorn and Donna… Continue reading The Wee Ones on Adventure
West Palm and Little Lake Worth
An early morning start hoping to get to Little Lake Worth by lunchtime. We only had 24 miles to go. But the tides, winds, and bridges were all aganst us. The Jupiter inlet skunked us. We could only make 3ish knots going through the 707 Bridge. And alas, that put us 5 minutes late for… Continue reading West Palm and Little Lake Worth
